Who We Are
The Sylvan Singers is the choral group for the Shire of Sylvan Glen.
What We Do
The Sylvan Singers focus on the performance of medieval and renaissance choral music. We rehearse on a regular basis with the intention of being able to both perform at-will (campfires, feats, courts, randomly at an event, etc) and for scheduled performances.
Who Can Participate?
The Sylvan Singers welcome new members of all musical levels and ability who have an interest in learning about and performing medieval and renaissance choral music. There are no membership requirements to participate beyond attending rehearsals; however, as time for a scheduled performance draws near, those who wish to participate in the performance will need to attend the last couple of rehearsals and the dress rehearsal in order to perform (the exact number of rehearsal will vary according to the performance pieces and at the discretion of the group’s director).
Rehearsals
Currently the Sylvan Singers rehearse on a bi-weekly basis. However, this is to accommodate the need to cancel rehearsals due to conflicts with events. If you want to attend a rehearsal and begin participating, it is advised that you call the director FIRST before just showing up (to ensure that the rehearsal has not been canceled).
Day/ Time/ Place: Sunday Evenings, 6:00pm-8:00pm.
Rehersal is held at 29 Roger Ct. Ranson, WV
